Methodology

tiers.fyi is meant to be inspectable, not mystical.

The goal is not to automate away judgment. The goal is to automate the tedious parts of capture and normalization while keeping source evidence, review, and caveats visible.

Accepted sources

Official pricing pages come first. When a pricing page is incomplete, the review flow may add official help-center or billing documentation as supporting sources.

Capture workflow

Each approved pricing state should originate from captured source artifacts: HTML, visible text, and a screenshot tied to a scrape run.

Review policy

New products and material pricing changes require review before publication. The system is agent-assisted, not fully autonomous.

Corrections

Manual overrides are explicit, reasoned, and temporary. If the model is wrong, reviewed human input wins until a future verified capture replaces it.

Review checklist

  • Confirm the source is official and current.
  • Verify plan names, billing periods, and currency.
  • Reject any invented custom or enterprise prices.
  • Check that annual-vs-monthly language is faithful to the source.
  • Keep caveats public when the pricing is not directly comparable.
